Available Field Types

Data is captured in a variety of field types.

1. Drop-down fields capture text using a list of reusable choices. On Windows, Mac and Linux, autocomplete filters suggestions as you type. On Android, iPhone and iPad, tap a field to open a searchable picker. Select an existing value or explicitly save a new one. See Autocomplete and searchable choices in the ID Page section for step-by-step instructions.
2. Number fields capture any numbers relevant to the item. Formatting is not applied because a number field can be used for any number (pun intended) of formats.
3. Date fields are used to capture important dates.
4. Notes fields allow you to capture larger amounts of text.
