Dear Mr. Clay Pryor,
Thank you for brining this to our attention, however after downloading and reviewing your application and information off your website, the only thing that seemed slightly similar in My Gun Collection application vs. the NM Gun Collector are some of the maintenance plans, but that information was something that I learned 18 years ago on how to care for your firearms. As far as the “Look and Feel” of the application there is nothing similar about it. Your application uses a combo box to browse between firearms, while My Gun Collection uses a list box, and allows you to display firearms that are “In-Stock”, “Sold” or “All” (Both sold and In-Stock). When viewing the details about a firearm, all out information is displayed in tabs while yours uses tabs and buttons. All the Information that is entered in for a firearm stays with that firearm. The rest of the information is information I always kept and would have like to have when I purchased a used firearm.
According to your website the Database Structure is the same, which we assure you it’s not. Even though we have not seen the structure of your database just by the functionality of your application. The information in your database is doesn’t seem to be relational while our information is. Even so your application stores the pictures that are added to the collection on the hard drive while ours stores it in the database. While looking at your application I do see that you have a wish list, which is something I just recently added for the next release, however yours looks more like a wish list for a firearm while mine is more generic, allowing the user to add in just about anything for that wish list. There are also other plans for the My Gun Collection application that your application does not address.
