I have had many requests to create a version of NM Gun Collector Software for Mac and Linux computers. Also, I wanted to provide something free for people who do not need all of the features currently available with NM Gun Collector. Finally, I decided to design this new software so as to manage multiple kinds of collections without sacrificing the gun collector specific features that make NM Gun Collector so useful to gun collectors.

So, this is it. Well, actually not quite yet but coming soon. It will be available in two versions.

NM Collector JE Lite - Free Collection Software - fewer features but free to use and will run on any platform that the Java Virtual machine runs on - such as Mac and Linux.
NM Collector JE - will be a full feature application like NM Gun Collector but it will run on any platform.

NM Collector JE will include a migration path to move data from NM Gun Collector into the new program for those who want to move to it. I will continue to support NM Gun Collector for those who wish to continue using it.

In addition to my well defined fields for gun collections, I am currently building templates to include for coin collections, knife collections, sword collections, japanese sword collections, toy collections, car collections and even collections of recipes! All of these will be included in a single package - even in NM Collector Lite. If you have suggestions for what to include please let me know.

Also, if you do not like the fileds I provide you can define your own. You can even define your own collection type from scratch if you wish. I provide over 32 fields that you can define - even in the Lite Version.
