NM Gun Collector Software Vista Installation Option 3

Please modify the nmGunCollector.exe file in the installation directory (default is c:\program files\nmcollector ) as follows:

1. Open Windows Explorer and find the installation directory as follows:

a. Start -> Computer

b. In the left pane locate and open “…(C:)”

c. In the left pane locate and open “Program Files”

d.  In the left pane locate and open "nmcollector" and right click nmGunCollector.exe as shown below.

2. When you right click nmGunCollector.exe select properties from the popup menu and the go to the "Compatibility" tab as shown below.

3. Click the "Show settings for all users" button and click the continue button on the UAC window that pops up.

4. Check "Run this program as an administrator" as shown below.

5. Click the OK button to close this window then the OK button again to close the previous window.

6. REBOOT!!!

Now when you run NM Gun Collector with UAC on you will be asked by a UAC popup to to allow this program.  Select Allow and the program will run fine.  If you had UAC off you can turn it off again and the program will run without the UAC popup window.
