Download archive.
Extract the contents to your USB Flash Drive.
Start NM Collector JE per OS as Follows
Windows: Double Click NMCollectorJE6Lite.exe
Mac: Double Click nmCollectorJELite.app
Unix/Linux: java -jar NMCollectorJE6Lite.jar

Windows NMCollectorJE
LiteforWin.exe NMCollectorJE
LiteforWinUpdate.exe

Please note, due to problems with Vista, the default installation directory has changed (from: "C:\Program Files\nmCollector\NMCollectorJE\" to: "C:\NMCollectorJE\").

For Update be sure to point to your current installation directory or the upgrade will not take effect.

For older versions of Windows, you need Windows Installer 2.0. Download Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 or Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows 98, and Windows Millennium Edition.

Full Installation

Download NMCollectorJELiteforWin.exe installer.

Run downloaded installer.

Updatee Only

Download NMCollectorJELiteforWinUpdate.exe self extracting archive.
Extract the contents to your installation directory.

Mac
(OS 10.4 and above with Java 6 )
NMCollectorJE LiteforMac.zip NMCollectorJE LiteforMacUpdate.zip

Ensure Java 6 has been installed and set up on your Mac.

Click the appropriate download link to the left.
Once installer is downloaded it will start automatically.

NMCollectorJE folder will be installed in the Applications folder of the volume you chose during the install. Run NMCollectorJELite.app from within the Aplications folder.

Linux
NMCollectorJE6 Lite.zip NMCollectorJE6 LiteUpdate.zip

Download the appropriate zip archive.
Extract files to installation directory.

Navigate to the installation directory in a terminal window and issue the following command:

java -jar NMCollectorJE6Lite.jar.

Notes:

The update on this page is for free JE Lite version only. To upgrade to the full feature version please download the upgrade from the JE page.

The "Full Installation" includes the database. Do not use this if all you need is to update to the latest version because it will over write your existing data.

The "Update Only" does not include the database so it will not over write your existing data. However, in order for it to see your data you must install the update to the same location as the original install.

Special notes regarding privacy.

This program does not plant anything on your system or contact the Internet unless you click a link from within the program and then it only goes to that page. The only exception is during a Windows install to ensure the correct version of Java is loaded.

To verify this claim I recommend you download, purchase (if necessary) and install one of the many privacy programs available on the web. These will notify you when any program is trying to access the Internet. Some are better than others but I have successfully used the following:
